UTSNZ Calls for Medical Appointments for 2025 FISU World University Summer Games

University and Tertiary Sport New Zealand (UTSNZ) is excited to announce the start of recruitment for the New Zealand delegation attending the 2025 FISU World University Summer Games. This prestigious international event, often considered the pinnacle of university sport, will take place from July 16–27, 2025, in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.

UTSNZ is now accepting Expressions of Interest for key medical roles within the Performance Support Team. These positions include a Sports Doctor and up to two Physiotherapists who will work collaboratively to provide high-level medical care to New Zealand’s student-athletes.

The FISU World University Summer Games is the second-largest multi-sport event in the world, featuring elite student-athletes across a range of sports, including athletics, basketball, rowing, and swimming. New Zealand’s delegation will compete across a range of sports, showcasing the nation’s top talent on the international stage.

Successful applicants will provide comprehensive medical support both within and outside the Athlete Village, ensuring the well-being and peak performance of team members. UTSNZ covers all participation fees, including flights, accommodation, meals, ground transport, and team uniforms, offering an incredible opportunity to be part of a world-class event.

Expressions of Interest are open until 5pm, Friday, February 28, 2025. Interested medical professionals are encouraged to submit their CVs and a cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience to info@utsnz.co.nz.
